Economical wooden cabin on the side of the mountain with views
of the sea and Vieques Island in the distance. Sharing the slope
with exotic fruit trees from all over the world. Sample fruit such
as Carambolas, Lychees and Jabodicaba.
The Phillips farm is a short
distance to the trails of the Caribbean National Forest, with hiking
to the Rio Prieto waterfalls and the Taino Petroglyphs. This is
a truly awesome experience for those who wish to really experience
the forest, sans amenities.
El
Yunque, rd #191, above Naguabo, Puerto Rico. It is very important
to note that you must go up the road 191 that starts near Naguabo,
on the southern side of the El Yunque rainforest mountains. You
cannot reach the Phillips cabin from the north side of El Yunque.
There is a landslide ( pretty old now) across the road on the top
of the mountain and the road is blocked off completely in the middle.

It is a rather steep climb up to the cabin. You should not arrive
here after dark. call Tel. 787-874- 2138 from 6 pm to 9 pm.
